Reflection

Experience:

During these 14 weeks, I have learnt a lot throughout this module, for example, the 6 elements and 7 design principles, then I know how to apply principles on creating arts. These were all that I never learnt before as i studied Diploma in Communication during my collage time, and have no chance to contact with the principle of art and design. So, what inspired me to took this module was during my internship, I did some art stuff and found out that I really like it. This was a very great experience to take this module as I got the chance to express myself through drawing or create art by using those elements and principles.

Observations:

I things that I observed so far, is that my design outcomes are lack of recognition and skills, I should practice more and do more research before I start a work but I also found out that I have improved from the final project. For instance, the art that I done for Project 1 is actually inspired by a Pinterest artist's work and Dr.Charles think that I shouldn't do something exactly like the original art, I can use the element or concept from it. After the incident, I started reflecting on myself, trying to find my own style and found out that I actually like Japanese art so I did some research on it and created the art for final project

Findings:

Design Principles are such a wonderful way for us to create an art. Before learning the design principles, I know nothing about them and how it work on an art but now I know and can express myself through art when something can't even described by words. I know I am still having very low knowledge about art, I will study and research more during this semester break and hope I can show the better works next time when I learn more skills and the principles of art.
