Typography Task 2: Typographic Exploration & Communication
- Sketch:
- Fonts: Univers LT Std (45 light, Oblique)
- Point size: 10 pt
- Leading: 12 pt
- Paragraph spacing: 12 pt
- Line length: 57 characters
At Week 9, which is the submission week for this task, Mr. Vinod gave me some feedback for my design:
- No cross alignment. The numerals, i.e 4, 5, etc. overlap or are too close to the body text.—Task2 by mr.vinod

Feedback
Week 6
Questions asked:
1. Is kerning and tracking appropriately done?
2. Does the font size correspond to the line-length, leading & paragraph spacing
3. Is the alignment choice conducive to reading?
4. Has the ragging been controlled well?
5. Has cross-alignment been established using base-line grids?
6. Are widows and orphans present?
Specific Feedback:
Heading: "The code" t and he is a bit too far away, make it closer and arrow can be thinner, make the arrow align with the body text (first word of first paragraphs), change the order of the text paragraphs as it is a bit confusing for the reader to read it in accordingly, and emphasis the "a designer".
General Feedback:
Type expression of the heading (code) is well expressed. The order of text paragraphs are confusing. Overall, ragging is good.
Week 7
*Public Holiday*
Reflection
Experience:
I think that break out room is very important to us for improving the works, as sometimes we might missed a little important detail that might deduct a lot of marks.
Observations:
I found that I have too little attempt when working on type expression, I think I should try out more attempt from my sketches, maybe at least 3 heading layout and body text too.
Findings:
I managed to done this task a little clearer than last time as I become more familiar with Adobe illustrator after 6 weeks of learning. I hope I can improve more in the future.
