Digital Photography & Imaging | Weekly Exercises
Lectures
Week 1:
I had my first class of Digital Photography n Imaging today. Since we are still in the middle of the pandemic, we couldn’t get to meet our lecturer, Mr.Martin, physically, all the classes will be conducted online. Mr. Martin gave us a brief about what we will go through and learn on this module.
Week 2:For this week's lectures, Mr.Martin introduced us the basic composition for better design composition such as focal point, hierarchy, scale, white space and balance of the elements. Moreover, we also learned the rule of thirds which is the principle of putting the most important elements at the intersection points. Lastly, the golden ratio, also known as golden mean, golden section, which is a mathematical concept and a number that goes on indefinitely (1.618033988749895..) it can be used to bring harmony, balance and structure to artworks.

This is a graphic work that done by Javier Jaén and posted on Pinterest.
I like the concept of how he completed “V” with the holding hand, it is really creative. I guess the artwork is to represent V= “We” as in like together.
I really love the artworks by Javier Jaén which i browse it on his blog, it amaze me with the ability that he has for creating such simple yet memorable images.
This is the third graphic design work that catches my eyes, it is done by 画画的金阳. I like how he turned an old chinese calendar into this good looking and aesthetic calendar without much changing to its traditional elements.
